Placeful Trips is built by a small, independent team based in Amsterdam. We make an iPhone app that turns the places you save on Instagram, TikTok, and Google Maps into a planned, walkable day — with a short audio story playing automatically at every stop. A local guide in your pocket, in every city.

Why we built it

We kept doing the same thing every traveler does: saving dozens of reels and pins for a trip, then landing in the city with a pile of bookmarks and no plan. The places were good — the planning never happened. And once we did walk, the famous spots stayed mute: you stand in front of a 400-year-old building and learn nothing unless you've booked a tour at someone else's pace.

So we built the tool we wanted: save the spots, and the rest is handled. The AI shapes your saves into an efficient day on foot; a GPS-aware audio guide tells you the story of each place as you arrive. No group, no umbrella to follow, no nine a.m. start.

What we believe

• Your taste, not a fixed loop. The best itinerary is the one made of places you chose. We plan around your saves, not a one-size-fits-all route.
• Heads up, phone away. Audio that triggers itself by location means you look at the city, not the screen.
• Stories must be true and short. Every story is written for the exact spot you're standing in — one to two minutes, fact-checked, worth your ears.
• Walking is the way. Cities reveal themselves between the famous stops. We optimize for the in-between.
